Developing natural predators for reef pests. Having pests get into our reefs is always a significant problem. Unfortunately, the treatments for them can often be as bad as the pests themselves. In this video, Andrew discusses some of the natural predators he has acquired to treat different pests, including an Australian variety of peppermint shrimp. Shrimp that may eat Acropora eat flatworms.
What a boon to the hobby this could be. He also discusses how these fish are quarantined before they are added to any tank. And how, over the years, he has developed specific treatments for each type of fish and their specific disorder.
And for coral fans, Andrew shows some of the newly acquired corals in their grow-out tanks, including one of the most spectacular chalices ever to reach the hobby. Enjoy!
