Why Is the History of King Saul’s Disobedience Meaningful to Us? Adam and Eve obeyed Satan’s words, ate the forbidden fruit, and were expelled from the Garden of Eden. King Saul followed the will of the people, regarding God’s word as a small thing, and was expelled from the throne. Likewise, in this age, the Holy Spirit can be given only to those who obey God’s word.
