Toor Dal or Arhar Dal or pigeon pea is a perennial legume from the family Fabaceae. Arhar Dal is a commonly prepared dish in Indian households and is one of the easiest dishes. Toor dal is consumed on a large scale in South Asia and is a major source of protein for the population of the Indian subcontinent.
There are many ways of making dal or lentils and this recipe is one such method. In this video I have made it dhaba style and hence a little spiced.
