Dr. Jayanthi Kumaresh is one unique musician who plays a very unique instrument, the majestic Saraswati Veena. From Royal Albert Hall to the Music Academy of Chennai, she is hailed as the queen of the instrument. Recipient of numerous awards and accolades, her meends and raga vistaar in the long alap section makes her music very accessible to us in the North. Shri Subhankar Banerjee, has been on our stage many times and needs no introduction. A student of Pandit Swapan Shiv, his has honed his craft with many musicians from many genres over many decades. His improvised sangat and complex time divisions are legendary. Patri Satish Kumar has worldwide fame for his sensitive and highly reflexive approach to playing Mridangam.
