Title track ’The Shining’ reaches into the abyss with dark and emotive synths drenched in pure attitude before the punishing beats & shattering rhythms of ’I Mean’ glide against a backdrop of future sleaze synthetics and dark ominous vocals. The slower pace of ’Glummy’ doesn’t detract from yet another twisted and affair as a more industrial elements course through its veins. ’Sad’ closes out the EP pushing slashing, bussing synth stabs into the melodies as a burning 303 bass line causes tremors through its sub structure.
