The Cleftones - Can’t We Be Sweethearts

This is the song which got me hooked on doo wop. After hearing this on GoodFellas, I was blown away by the opening bass and following harmonies and I just wanted to hear more! This, in my humble opinion, is the best doo wop song along with The Crows - Gee. After hearing a lot of doo wop I still beleive that The Cleftones have turned out a huge amount of brilliant tracks, yet their relative lack of success must be down to the wealth of talent that was around at that time I guess.
