Captured Kiev soldiers are asking for residency permits in Russia

Captured Kiev soldiers are asking for residency permits in Russia. A meeting took place in the DPR between captured Kiev servicemen and their relatives. Many of those who surrendered were taken prisoner at the very beginning of the conflict. They are now requesting not to be exchanged, but to be granted residency permits in Russia. “There have been increasing cases where prisoners of war are released after undergoing thorough checks to ensure they are not involved in any war crimes, they haven’t committed any acts of violence against civilians, and they are allowed to live in the territory of the Russian Federation,” said volunteer Marina Ashifina.
