Kyoshi Warrior Cosplay: Working With Worbla (Kote and Headpiece)

One of the trickiest things about the Kote was figuring out how to make it. There are not too many resources that explain the construction process for this garment and I had to mostly rely on extent garment images. On reflection I feel like the rope detail is more well hidden in real life and there probably isn’t as many eyelets as I made, if at all. I would love to look at the actual pieces in person and be able to see how they were constructed. Maybe one day. But overall I LOVE how this is turning out. The Do armor is going to be an adventure and I can’t wait to take you along the journey with me. - Karina :) Music: Ishikari Lore by Kevin MacLeod is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution license () Source: Artist: Rising Sun by Yoshinori Tanaka / 田中 芳典 | Music promoted by Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported License Wuxia2_Orchestra by PeriTune | Music promoted by Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) Ronin by yoitrax | Music promoted by Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported License Borrow the Happiness by Kabbalistic Village | Music promoted by Attribution-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported (CC BY-ND 3.0) Whisper3 by PeriTune | Music promoted by Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) Warrior by yoitrax | Music promoted by Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported License Intro: (0:00) What Material Am I Using?: (0:18) Kote Research: (2:25) Making the Headpiece: (5:27) Kote Pattern and Fabric: (10:34) Designing the Kote: (13:25) Eyelets and Drilling holes: (16:08) Weaving: (19:06) Conclusion: (20:41)
