FreeCAD: Complex and Organic Solid Forms Made Easy | Multiple Wall Thickness with Tangent Flow
Unlocking the secrets of creating complex solid curved objects in FreeCAD using the curves workbench. This project take a different approach from the previous video mixing curves wb with part workbench to create the outer surface and then using a duplication technique (not a clone) for the inner surface that can be modified to allow for different wall thicknesses and depth for the model in different places. We will be doing the usual mirrors and polar array as per our previous example to create the finished model. This is the second video in a number of tutorials on complex and organic form modelling in the curves workbench with the aim to finish the model as a solid rather than leave you hanging with a number of surfaces that you have no way of making solid or you make solid and they don’t fit together.
