Gravesend, Kent. Title: “STEAMERS COLLIDE - Several sleeping seaman killed and injured in disastrous collision between American Merchant and Matatua“. Point of view shot from the front of a boat travelling towards a ship with a huge hole in the side, sailors on the ship look down at it from the deck. As we get close to the hole we see that a collision with another vessel has caused the metal shell to ripped open, revealing the shattered wooden beams inside.
