Roundwound vs. Halfwound vs. Flatwound (Semi-acoustic Guitar)

After having tested flatwound strings on a bass guitar I’ve become more and more “addicted“ to this kind of finger noise-free strings. I wondered if there is a significant sound difference between nickel roundwound, halfwound and flatwound strings on a semi-acoustic guitar. So here are the samples of my test, with clean and distorted sounds.
