Elias MÄDLER in Alcina (G.F. Haendel) - Soloist of the Tölzer Knabenchor

Scenes where Oberto (12-year-old Elias Mädler) appears in the version of the opera co-produced by Festival d’Aix-en-Provence and Bolshoi Theatre. Grand Théâtre de Provence 10th July 2015. Various parts of the opera have been omitted in the Aix version, in particular Act II scene 11 and Act III scene 6. This last scene contains an important aria by Oberto. Alcina takes a lion out of a cage and gives a lance to Oberto so that he kills it. He understands that she changed his father into this lion, he threatens her and leaves telling her that he would soon see her defeated.
