Firemouth Cichlid Fry

Here’s a couple shots from “Day 1“ for this first batch of free-swimming Central American Cichlid fry. Parents are doing a fantastic job. Fry took to baby brine shrimp right away. Hope these do well, and can be submitted for our Fish Club Breeders Award Program. With this setup in our 40 gal breeder, we are adding light tannins with each water change -- ca. 4 litres of aged water seeded with alder cones and oak leaves.
