Check out Siverts new album at This tune is called Hilmehallingen after Jørn Hilme, the most famous fiddler of Valdres who lived from 1778 to 1854. This 10 strings fiddle is made by Salve Håkedal and owned by Annbjørg Lien. Halling is one name of the ancient Norwegian solo dance tradition with movement material as shown on rock carvings of Scandinavian Bronze Age.
