Simhanandini is an ancient ritualistic temple dance where the dancer draws the figure of the lion with her feet as an offering to the divine mother Durga. Excerpts of SIMHANANDINI (The Dancing Lion) DVD. Dedicated to the genius of Guru (from whom the Narasimhacharis learnt ritualistic temple dances in the year 1981) . Based on the original framework of their Guru C R Acharya, key points have been further explored and elaborated by Gurus Vasanthalakshmi Narasimhachari including the Simhanandana tala and its application to dance, music and rhythm.
