AFN consulting First Nations on $48B child welfare agreement with Ottawa | Power & Politics
The Assembly of First Nations has secured a commitment from Canada for $47.8 billion in funding over 10 years for long-term reform of First Nations child and family services. ‘First Nations want their children back home,’ said AFN National Chief Cindy Woodhouse Nepinak. ‘We don’t have jurisdiction over our children.’
