CAUTION: this video is OUTDATED and will be reworked in the future The 1973 Oil Crisis struck the Italian economy downslide very fast, as Italy’s economy depend on exporting oil and now depend on resources from its African colonies, few months later many uprisings inside most of Italian colonies except Croatia and Albania, Montenegro, Greece and Levant. With its colonies gained independence, Italy is now on her own, King Umberto II started a economic reform campaign to reduce oil dependency but that didn’t help much. King Umberto passed away in 1983, his son Vittorio Emanuele was chosen to be his successor, 2 years later, his cousin Amedeo Umberto collaborated with the PNF party to overthrow Emanuele and expel him to Switzerland, brought back Fascism to Italy In 1990, the PNF launched an large-scale invasion on OFN-backed Libya in attempt to gain back access to Africa continent, to restore Italia’s former glory but the invasion turned into a failure and Italy had to retreat out of Li
