Baby Wallaby (1956)

Pets Corner at London Zoo. Woman approaches a Wallaby with a bowl of food. There is a little Joey in the Wallaby’s pouch. The new arrival is called “Bikki“ - presumably because his mother is called “Cookie“. Various shots of mother and child. Other residents of Pets Corner aren’t interested at all in the cute baby, they ignore it. Narrator makes a few animal related jokes. One of the women keepers laughs. Keepers seen are Iris Dalli and Jean Andrews. Note: there is a note on the cameraman’s dope sheet which reads: “Roy - Check Encyclopaedia Britannica - I think I’ve read somewhere that it’s the male that carries the baby.“ So then Cookie may be the father I guess.
