Bakhmut Evacuation: Little Girl On Her Own!

Please don’t forget to subscribe to the channel and donate via 🇺🇦 This story is one of coincidence. A chance occurrence which led me to meet a little girl called Bohdana and evacuate her and her brother Kirill. I run a civilian evacuation team in Eastern Ukraine and that day we had a plan to work a specific area of Bakhmut, a war torn city on the frontlines, but a sudden call came in asking us to evacuate a man who had a stroke. Upon arriving, we found him in a bad state and one of our cars quickly drove him out to a hospital. We also met some soldiers who mentioned that there was a family with a two year old child who wanted to evacuate. Together with them was Bohdana , a girl of 15, who told us her parents didn’t want to evacuate . In the end, after some persuading, we evacuated her and her brother, as well as the family with the two year old. Thanks to my friend Artem we found them private housing in a safer part of Ukraine. They still live there, many months later. Thanks to my team on the day who made this possible: Andrii Artem Boris Bohdan Yaro Who knows what would have happened if that man hadn’t had a stroke. Perhaps Bohdana and her brother would have been taken to Russia by force - or worse, died under shelling. Little Marik might have faced the same fate.
