📃 Оригинальное описание:
This is an audio file by an unsigned and pretty much unknown English Bristol based group called Steiner. Homeward Bound was written by frontman Dom after his trip to Brazil in 2008. Many attempts have been made to find out who the hell these people are but so far no one’s had any luck as there’s no music on iTunes, nothing else on YouTube and no interview with any of the band members. It’s all a bit of a mystery but I have somehow managed to get hold of this very rare audio file on the condition that I deleted “That turd of a demo“ (in the words of an angry Dom!) which I previously uploaded. He made contact with me after seeing it and agreed to give me this far better version if I deleted the other!
There have been a few requests for the lyrics so here they are;
Homeward Bound - By Steiner
Verse 1
I’d like to sail the Atlantic,
Arriving at Tortuga bay,
Caracas will be my next port of call,
Before I continue on my way,
I won’t quit when in Quito,
I’ll “sit“ o, little while as I’m making my plans,
To Lima, then Antofagasta,
Then cruise east to Brazilian sands,
Chorus
Homeward bound,
Homeward bound,
On a road Florianopolis way,
Homeward Bound, Homeward Bound,
T’is the place in my heart I want to stay...
Verse 2
As it all comes alive in the evening,
On the road through Lagoa and beyond,
Conferia may be quite expensive,
But it’s a place that I’m still very fond,
If I find that I’m missing England,
There’s a pub by the name of John Bull,
Although there’s not much about it that’s English,
Except for the bands on the wall,
Chorus
(Solo)
Verse 3
How my heart belongs to this city,
The yearning won’t leave me alone,
This distance is doing me no good at all,
It’s a feeling that I’ve never known,
Although I’ll travel and see many places,
And enjoy all my time on the road,
There’s only one place that I really want to end up,
And when I can that is where I will go,
Chorus
