Hello! Today I want to show you my new qama dagger restoration. This dagger also called kindjal or khanjali. This antique old dagger I found at a flea market. The minimum age of this dagger is about 120 years. This dagger is of Georgian type. Well, let’s start restoration.
P.S. it was one of the most difficult jobs.

24:30 Little sharpening and dagger stamp
25:22 Final review
I started the work by disassembling the scabbard. Then I disassembled the handle. I threw the old leather from the scabbard. In fact, I restored all the details except for the old leather, I replaced it with a new natural one.
I completely restored the scabbard, accessories and made a new rivet that was lost on the dagger handle.
There was a lot of different work. I restored the handle with the help of templates that I made from walnut wood and dry welding. After solidification, I shaped and used acrylic oil paints and a strengthening varnish.
It took me two weeks to do this job. I am very glad that I was able to keep the old and original appearance of the dagger, but at the same time completely restored.
I hope, you will enjoy this restoration dagger video! Thank you for the attention.
