Rasta Style LEAF of LIFE Salad with Coconut Cream Glaze!

Dub Poetry, Super Foods & Vibes with the one and only RASS RODD! I’m in Boston Bay/Fairy Hill area of of Portland Jamaica cooking up one of the most unique vegetable dishes I’ve ever had in my life! This one is based around the leaf of life, a succulent that’s also called the miracle plant and love bush. Rass Rodd has an amazing property built inside the semi ruins of an older home, half indoor half outdoor with a beautiful yard and tons of ingredients available right on the yard. The coconut glaze is a first for me, with coconut juice boiled down and refined with pepper elder, nutmeg, cinnamon and more. Served with lightly fried green plantain, sweet and irish potato, it’s also chopped up with bok choi, carrot, sweet pepper and fresh picked turmeric straight out of the ground. This is a unique episode to say the least, thanks so much to Rass Rodd and Kimoya for the hospitality! Bless up, Matthew PS check link below for available rooms, guiding and or events at
