TEDxMasala - Nikita Banawalikar - Kathak Dance Performance

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations). 17 year old Nikita Dilip Banawalikar has successfully completed ’UPANATYA VISHARAD’ in KATHAK and has received training over the past six years under the guidance of renowned Kathak Guru Dr Manjiri Shriram Deo. Nikita has won numerous ward and regional level awards for classical dance including 1st prize at SANSKAR BHARTI (for the past three consecutive years), 1st prize at MARATHA MANDIR 2009 and Best Student by TIMES OF INDIA for the last three years. Nikita has performed at the Indian Classical Centre in Bangkok and the Maharashtra Times event Shravan Queen.
