The Escorts - So Sad Son-Deane Records # SD-12973. The holy grail of my not so big sweet soul 45s collection, and i’ve recently used it as a starter in my mix Musicdawn 7 Sides Of My Only Love - Slow & Low Sweet Soul Love Ballads 45’s Mix 2021: Amazing unknown sweet soul 45 from obscure Son-Deane label outta Hartsdale, NY. Ultra rare single, only one copy ever surfaced online markets. I don’t know anything about this record, it sounds like it was recordered in early 70s. I’m not sure if it is the same prison convicts band that recordered few lps and dozen of singles on Alithia and other record labels in 70s and early 80s. This single is produced and written by J. Guest and i don’t find this guy among Alithia’s Escorts members.
