Esa Einai - Official Music Video (Nicole and Brandon Firestone)

Hello friends and family! ☺️💙 Chag Pesach Sameach! I wanted to share with you this original song that my brother Brandon and I wrote together. We started writing prior to the pandemic and finished during the lockdown period, which coincided with a rise in Asian hate, a spike in antisemitism, the invigoration of the Black Lives Matter movement after George Floyd’s murder, and heightened tension in the Middle East. This Passover, our song takes on a deepened meaning as we reflect on the tragic events taking place in Ukraine. This song was inspired by an adaptation of Psalm 121, which translates to “I will raise my head, I will lift my eyes to the mountains (in the distance).” From these words, we wrote our version of Esa Einai- a call to action that inspires open-mindedness, self growth, love, and compassion.
