In this video i’ve build the riveted chain mail aventail from 1,8mm iron and brass wire. You can follow me through the whole process, from coiling to cutting the rings, annealing and flattening them till the final riveting process. The aventail consists of approx. 2000 handmade rings and took me around two month to finish it.
