Rance (Portugal/France) - Dans la porcherie noire du siècle (Demo 2023)

Debut demo from this new entity, the second abomination sprung from Concílio ., a recent collective based in Porto, Portugal. A project made up by three anonymous maniacs, Rance starts off with a great intro of eerie, stygian, raw Dungeon Synth, and then progresses for 10 minutes of infectious and frantically disemboweling Black Punk scorn. Clearly harnessing inspiration from the legendary Ildjarn, with harsh, primitive riffage, blazing blasts and engaging D-Beats making you want to crack open the skull of humanity, the drums really carry some vile and consuming energy to this. The guitar tone is absolutely sick, very much reminising as well with early Arckanum or Wagner Ödegard, while the demented vocals vociferate atrocities against the nazarene. Sick debut from Rance, which shall definitely please the fans of the bands mentioned above, as well as some other recent ones like Inanimate, Nächtlich or Kūka’ilimoku.
