Practice Methods of Xingyiquan(Part 1)

Cao Zhiqing is a respected expert of Shanxi Xingyiquan and a disciple of Shang Changsuo (1905-1973); Shang who was famous for his strength and agility, learnt Xingyiquan from Mu Xiuyi, was one of the most dedicated disciples of Wang Fuyuan (who also taught Hu Yaozhen and Wang Jiwu; the latter is known for his Xingyi Neigong, which was published also in English). Cao Zhiqing wrote also probably the best book on the theory and practice of Xingyiquan. The material shown in this set can be considered representative to so-called Northern Branch of Shanxi Xingyiquan, popular in Taiyuan and Yuci, and combining best methods of Shanxi and Hebei Xingyi. This set of VCDs focuses on two main parts of Xingyiquan curriculum - Five Elements Fists (Wu Xing Quan) and Twelve (Animal) Shapes (Shi Er Xing).
