Luna-25’s impact crater observed by NASA’s LRO

NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) spacecraft has imaged a new crater on the Moon’s surface, that is likely the impact site of the Luna-25 mission. On 19 August 2023, Luna-25 lunar lander mission (Луна-25) experienced an anomaly that caused it to impact the surface of the Moon.
