The Queen goes on to visit Mr and Mrs Howells in the village and is greeted by the couple on their doorstep, plus hundreds of cheering spectators. Brief shot of the Howell family in their house; commentator says Mr Howell is an unemployed miner. Queen Mary’s next stop is Maesteg Town Hall, where she walks around looking at a stall where women are preparing food.
