I Love Rock ’n Roll is a song by Joan Jett & The Blackhearts. It was the biggest hit for Joan Jett (born Joan Marie Larkin, September 22, 1958), the American rock singer, songwriter, composer, record producer and actress that became known with her group The Blackhearts after she left the all girl group The Runaways. The Runaways had a massive hit with the song “Cherry Bomb“. The Blackhearts’ version of the song “I Love Rock ’n Roll“ was # 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for seven weeks in 1982.
