She is currently a Doctoral candidate at the Évora University in Portugal, while continuing to be an active contemporary music soloist, orchestral player and a devoted teacher, had being on the faculty of the EMESP Tom Jobim, in São Paulo, Brasil. Paula began her musical studies in her hometown of Belo Horizonte, Brazil. She holds a Bachelor in Music in Clarinet Performance degree from UNESP, in São Paulo, where she studied under the guidance of Professor Sergio Burgani. Paula Pires was the rec
