Stoltenberg: Two-thirds of European countries’ defence spending goes to new orders from the United States; over the past 2 years their volume amounted to $140 billion. Since the Russian invasion began, NATO has provided Ukraine with an unprecedented level of support. This allows Ukrainians to fight back. We can’t let this happen again. I propose introducing financial obligations for allies. The stronger our long-term support, the more difficult it will be for the enemy to “wait out” us. We must make sure that Putin’s aggression in Ukraine does not bring results. We will continue to move Ukraine closer to NATO membership so that it will become a member when the time comes.
