Unique refugium method that BLEW US AWAY

We are discussing using a refugium on our system. There are pros and cons to just about everything in this hobby. One of the items that have garnered a lot of discussion over the years is the refugium. While on our recent visit to TopShelf, we fell in love with their refugium full of red algae and Monos and Scats. Their refugium was unique regarding how water circulated within it, and we tried to copy it to some degree in our 60-gallon cube refugium. Here we demonstrate the exact way we are setting up ours, and over time we will share what we see in the tank in terms of the health of the corals and the parameters of the tank. Since some feel that a refugium can take out too many nutrients and trace elements like iron, both of which can hurt or inhibit coral growth, we want to see if this is true.
