Advanced Tuck Planche (ATP) is a great isometric exercise. Doing advanced tuck planche with a perfect technique will provide you strength for straddle planche. If you are not strong enough to do ATP then you have to go back to basics (Handstand push ups/Dips). Of course you can try practicing tuck planche (TP) but in my opinion TP is not that effective. If everything goes wrong don`t worry! Planche is a difficult move. Just keep training more and more. Consistency, dedication and patience!
