GD Hallway Dancers - 9/9/87 - Providence, RI

09SEP1987 - Hallway Dancers at Providence Civic Center, Providence, RI Bill Graham had the idea to put speakers in the hallways so that he wouldn’t have to leave the doors open for the dancers to hear the band. It was first tried in 1987 at Kaiser Auditorium. The idea was then put into place on tour at the Providence Civic Center. This show is the 3rd show of the first run of shows with speakers in the hallways for the GD dancers. The audio you hear in this video is from those speakers. It was also tried at the 1987 JGB shows on Broadway where the tapers seized the “opportunity“ to splice into the speaker cables to get soundboard audio feeds.
