NJ/NY scored in both halves to earn three NWSL points over the Chicago Red Stars with a 2-1 victory. Allie Long scored the games opening goal in the 45 3’ with an assist by Caprice Dydasco. Margaret Purce gave Gotham the 2-0 lead in the 70’ converting a penalty kick. The Red Stars struck late in the match with a goal in the 95 6’ from Makenzy Doniak and assisted by Katie Johnson.
