The Active Volcano in Peru; Huaynaputina

In remote Peru is one of the world’s weirdest volcanoes, as it does not stand out in the overall landscape. Yet, it produced one of the largest volcanic eruptions in human history, ejecting more than 30 cubic kilometers of volcanic rock in 1600. The volcano in question is called Huaynaputina, and is unusual as its massive eruption did not form a caldera. This video is protected under “fair use”.
