Held each year at the 18th century colossal Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad in Serbia, EXIT started as a student movement whose massive protests brought down the oppressive regime in Serbia. In 2021, the festival marked its 20th anniversary and went down in history as the first major festival in Europe to take place after the pandemic, with over 180,000 music lovers from more than 70 countries.
