0:00 M4A4 Sherman “LONGWY“ of 1er RC 2e Escadron set alight by a Panzerfaust impact to the port fuel tank on the night of the 18th November 1944 while attacking Echenans. Driver Brigadier-chef Aubert perished in the incident while the rest of the crew made it out. 0:05 (one does not simply see a perforation in armor plating and not digitally massage it) The considerable size of the hole left by the Panzerfaust warhead is impressive, thanks to the diameter of its shaped charge. 0:21 M4A4 Sherman “ETENDARD“ of 1er RCA 4ème Escadron knocked out by a Panzerfaust impact while leading the attack on Issans on November 16th 1944 along with fellow tank “ESTAING“.
