The Doobie Brothers Jesus Is Just Alright with Lyrics in Description

Track 7 from their second album “Toulouse Street” released in 1972 copyright Warner Bros. Records. It was recorded at Warner Bros. Studios in North Hollywood and Wally Heider Studios in San Fransisco. The album was named for a street in the French Quarter of New Orleans and the cover photo was taken in a former brothel there. It was the first album to feature new bassist Tiran Porter and second drummer Michael Hossack. “Listen to the Music” was the band’s breakthrough single and they never looked back. A version of the band with most of the original members is currently touring on a double bill with the band Chicago. The album received excellent reviews, achieving Gold status the following year and going Platinum in 1986. Written by Arthur Reid Reynolds and produced by Ted Templeman.
