There were clashes in Glasgow yesterday between anti-immigration demonstrators and anti-racist activists: protesters gathered by the statue of Donald Dewar with banners reading “Stop the boats”, while further down Buchanan Street trade unions and anti-racists held a “unity rally” with placards saying “Welcome refugees”. Well done, Scots! People need to show their frustration with the government’s failings.
