Living Legends Nowyouno

1997 DJ Bizarro, PSC, Grouch, Eligh, Sunspot, Murs. When this song was released, the Living Legends were coming into the peak of their popularity. They were beginning to draw almost as many fans to their shows and selling almost as many units as nationally touring, mainstream hip-hop acts, and their albums were finally being sold in stores so they didn’t have to stand outside selling tapes all day. While they took pride in their underground status and independent hustle, they were still frustrated by the lack of support from DJs & radio stations. The song is missing verses from Living Legends Arata & Asop (who can be seen wearing his Black Wolf mask next to Eligh in the music video,) but the rest of the crew uses the track to vent their frustrations about trying to make a living as underground artists & express their hopes, unsure that they’d ever find the success they would eventually achieve a few years later.
