It’s been a hell of an experience, and right now, CK3 sorely needs a saviour. Whether or not Crusader Kings 3 will be saved by Roads to Power is up to the community, but this review is my own personal take on it. Roads to Power has added landless gameplay, Byzantine Empire Mechanics and just so many smaller changes that have really improved the game. I won’t spoil much more of my opinions here in the description, but I can certainly tell you that CK3 has needed a DLC to bring it out of the depths for a while now. The abysmal release of Legends of the Dead has really soured people’s taste for the game, and the real question is: can Roads to Power put the game back in the public’s good graces? Important note here that I received this DLC in early access, and for free from Paradox, so thank you to Paradox, but also I am under no obligations nor contracts influencing my ability to review the game, so all my opinions are my own true beliefs. This also means that anything I show, could, potentially, still change for release (but if we’re being honest, I doubt anything will change beyond some little bug fixes or localization fixes).
