A Panamax bulker struck the quayside during unberthing operations

A Panamax bulker struck the quayside during unberthing operations in Santos, Brasil, on June 13. Although connected to port tugs, the stern of the OMICRON NIKOS allided with the quayside of berth 15 in the port of Santos, just after they disconnected the mooring lines and her bow turned away from the dock. It is understood that the vessel suffered some minor damage to her steelwork. Shortly after the incident, the vessel docked again at berth 17, awaiting inspection.
