USCG MH-60T Jayhawk helicopter start-up and take-off
We are on the practice field at Maine Maritime Academy, where we see US Coast Guard Sikorsky MH-60T Jayhawk 6042 as it starts up and takes off from the field. The helicopter was here as part of a dual rescue simulation with a 47 foot CG motor lifeboat. The lifeboat came out of Rockland, while the helicopter came out of Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod. We will see one of the rescue evolutions in an upcoming video. 6042 is painted in the Coast Guard Aviation Centennial color scheme. The MH-60T was built in the early to mid 90’s. Enjoy the sound of the start up of the GE T700-GE-401C gas turbines, as well as the view of the take-off. If you have any questions about the video, feel free to message me. Comments are welcome. The videos were taken on October 13th, 2016.
