Mia Catalano | Welcome To River Wheel Co

We are absolutely stoked to usher in a new chapter for River Wheel Co with the addition of our first and one of the greatest women to ever touch a scooter! Mia Catalano has been around awhile now; our first exposure was seeing her compete at the annual ScooterCON (SD) skatepark competitions many years ago in the lower divisions and eventually in the first Female Only divisions. As she has matured, so has her riding and broadened her horizons into the streets. After her outstanding performance in 2022 with the Girls Team for Dissidence Coalition in Guadalajara, Mexico, it was clear that she was destined to elevate women’s scootering to new levels. Over the past year, while filming for this video, she also managed to capture the Women’s Street World Title at the World Championship in Spain! Congratulations Mia! We are proud to see what you have accomplished and excited to see where you take it! My family, friends, and all the other filmers played their part as well and I’m so grateful. From letting me stay with them, going out to film whenever we had the chance, pushing me, having more confidence in me than I did myself on some tricks, the list goes on. I also couldn’t be happier that Zach Poon had me come out to Hollywood 16 to get a dream trick at the last minute for my ender; he helped me tackle the scariest trick I’ve done thus far. Lastly but most certainly not least Andrew Broussard and Ryan Gould for making all of this possible. I am lucky enough to have the best people around and supporting me, I wouldn’t be the person or scooter rider I am today without them.
