Multiple Decomposed Corpses Discovered in Northern Gaza

Footage by Al Jazeera shows several decomposed bodies of Palestinian civilians on the outskirts of the city of Beit Hanoun, north of Gaza Strip, including what appears to be the skeletons of children. The devastated town was one of the first to be targeted by Israel’s bombardment and ground invasion. Investigations are underway to determine the identities of the deceased. Israeli forces have damaged or destroyed at least six cemeteries in the northern Gaza Strip in recent weeks, including in Beit Lahia, Beit Hanoun and Gaza City, with evidence of bulldozer tracks and displaced headstones observed in satellite imagery. Earlier this month, Israeli commander Yair Ben David stated that they had “entered Beit Hanoun and did there as Shimon and Levi did in Nablus,” referring to the biblical story in which all the male inhabitants of the city were massacred. The Palestinian Ministry of Health stated that since the start of the war, Israel has killed at least 20,674 Palestinians in Gaza and an additional 54,536 have also been wounded. . . . .
