Somakosha - Traditional Japanese House, Timber Frame Raising

5 day time lapse of the construction of a traditional Japanese house. All the parts for the timber frame were cut months ahead of time in the shop, and finish planed by hand. Then we loaded up the truck, brought the materials to the site, and over the course of 5 days put the main structure together. Somakosha is a company in Japan that specializes in traditional home construction. I was fortunate enough to assist on this project. Thanks for watching, and as always thanks to the guys at Somakosha!
