This piece, along with the Barucabà Variations, are the Paganini’s variations that receive much less attention than his God Saves The King/Queen and Nel Cor Più Non Mi Sento Variations. Actually, I’d think that this set of variations has more similarity between Barucabà Variations than others. Both are using different techniques to express different styles and moods, other than just showcasing like Nel Cor Piu Non Mi Sento Variations. This piece has one more characteristic: It’s that the piece consistently plays the theme again, in order to recall your memory lol. Barucabà variations has similar application. It’s performed by cutting the 60 Variations into 3. After 20 variations have been played, the theme will be played in different keys. Honestly, the integrity of this variations is more than I expected at the first place.
